Skin

I read "Skin"

 This book is about skin.
First, Animal skin. Human skin can vary from as thick as 1.5 millimeters on the hands and feet to as thin as 0.05 millimeters around the eyes, which is why this is often the first place to show sign of aging.
However, some animals, the rhinoceros for example, have skin that can be four centimeters thick!
This difference is, of course, by the place they and we live.
There is an animals which can change their color of skin to protect themselves from hunters.

Second, Body art. There are some regions where have the tradition of Tattooing.
Most of them are a form of scarification. Scarification is a way to show social or political status.
In other areas, people with tattoos were seen as less responsible and trustworthy.
There are many kinds of opinions  among each countries.

Third, Makeup. Since 4,000 years ago, the history of makeup has existed.
Ancient Egyptian women paomted their lips and eyes to make them seem bigger.
Upper-class women in both ancient Greece and Rome  tried very hard to make their skin as pale as possible, using a thick makeup made from chalk, animal fat.
But now, it is common for us to makeup our face thinner and softer.
The way of making up has been changed for long time.

I believe that it will be changed a little bit at a time in the future.
