"ALASKA"


  I read a book about ALASKA.
Alaska is a very big place. Its the biggest state-more than twice as big as Texas but not many people live there. There are only 730,000 people live in all of Alaska.
Alaska is broadly composed of three regions Kodiak Island, Juneau and Anchorage.
  Kodiak Island has a lot of high mountains, green forests, revers and lakes.
Every year, many visitors come to here to enjoy Bear watching.
One of the important bussiness in this place are fishing and tourism because of the plenty of natural environment.
  In addition, many tourists came to Alaska to enjoy walking outside. 
But it isn't easy to climb to the top of Mount Mckinley. 
It takes about three weeks! 
Writer says that we must pay particular attention to the cold!!  
  Not only climbing but also skiing is popular in Alaska. 
There is a lot of snow, so they have many good places to ski.
Eagle Crest, only 20 kilometers from the state capital, Juneau, is an excellent mountain for skiing.

I was not familiar with Alaska before I read this book, but now, I'm so interested in their special activities and nature.
I want to know more about Alaska!!

I read "Get Smart"   This is a book about our brain.  This book shows humans personality, languages and senses from various perspective.   First, Personality. In the 1980, studies were carried out  on identical twins who had grown up with different families. Although the children often grew up in different places with different people, they keep having extremely similar personalities.  Writer also referring to Brain changes. If we want to change our personality such as neurotic, shy and so on, we should repeat the same experiences to overcome  them. It is possible to change ourselves by controlling our own brain!  Second, Languages. Each parts of our brain works as a different roles.  We speak or understand languages by using them unconsciously.  Children are best languages learners because their brain where work as a role of understanding languages are developed.  Last, Senses. This chapter shows about the connection between our brains and sight, smell, sound and feeling

The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree " Sorry, boy... I don't have anything to give you" "That's ok... this is enough for me" There was a big and old tree. The boy and this tree were played together everyday. The boy talked to the tree and tree listened to him quietly. He slept in the shade of the tree, ate apples and ran around the tree. Tree was happy. Over time, the boy grown up and he was in trouble because of lack of money. Tree said to him "You can take apples" "you can take my branch" "you can take my trunk " "and turn them into money"  "...and be happy..."   Decades had passed, boy came back to the tree. "Sorry, boy... I don't have anything to give you"  "That's ok" he smiled and sat on the stump and said "This is enough for me... be together forever" The tree was happy. Tinkers farm

Tinkers Farm Sam and his daughter jenny are English, but now they are starting a new life in America. They arrived in New York! Her father was looking for a job to live in America and then a man Jack Crane gave him a job. They went to farm of Jack. From next day, they made to work immediately.  Jenny was tired from work everyday, but it was fun to visit the city and watch there traditional festival with friends to take a break from work. However, her father and Jack not close and usually fighting well. Sam decided to go out the firm. They have no place to live from that day. While they are walk along the riverbank, a boy was drowning. They helped the boy. Fortunately, they goy yo live in the boy's family home.
